Andres Aquino, Founder and Director of the GSF Awards, is pleased to announce that Emmy-nominated Hollywood actor, producer and author DAVID A.R. WHITE will be honored with a 2026 Lifetime Achievement Award at the 11th Annual Global Short Film Awards Gala in Cannes.
David A.R. White was a founding partner of Pure Flix, the most successful Faith and Family production and distribution company in the industry. It was acquired by Sony in 2020.
David has starred in over 25 feature-length faith-based movies, including: Finding Love in Quarantine, Me Again, The Encounter, Beckman, Love on the Rock, and Brother White, for which he was nominated as Best Actor by the Television Critics Association (TCA).
He went on to pioneer the faith-based action genre with the movie franchise Revelation Road 1, 2 and 3. Sony then funded the Revelation Road series, in which David stars, and is due out in late 2026. David made his mark most notably producing and starring in 5 movies in the God’s Not Dead franchise, that have grossed over a 100 million dollars in their US theatrical releases. Over the last few years, David has been turning his sights on the action genre. He starred in A Line of Fire (co-starring with Cuba Gooding, Jr., Jason Patric and Scott Baio). This film debuted in Netflix’s top 10 for two weeks during Christmas 2025. He currently stars in the action-packed film Straight Shot, (with Dolph Lundgren, Tyrese Gibson, Rachael Leigh Cook and William Forsythe), due out at the end of 2026. He also hosts the trending podcast The White House Pod – Dare to Dream.
